I CAN Expo 2025 Presenter Consent Form

This is a consent form for I CAN mentees who have been invited to present at the I CAN Expo 2025 (9 October 2025) as part of an I CAN School program or an I CAN Online program
As a formal agreement it is required, by law, that this form is completed by the Parent or Guardian of all Presenters under 18.

I CAN Expo 2025: A celebration of young people in the I CAN Program!

I CAN Expo 2025 will be held on Thursday 9 October 2025 in person at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (Melbourne), 1 Convention Centre Pl, South Wharf VIC 3006 and via YouTube at @ican_rethinkautism. As part of I CAN Expo 2025, I CAN Network is giving students from I CAN School and Online mentoring programs the opportunity to present at the event, whether via videos which will be uploaded to www.youtube.com/theicannetwork or in person at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Students from either an I CAN School or I CAN Online program have four options to present:

Students can present in-person at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Thursday 9 October 2025
Students can make an individual video which will be played at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Thursday 9 October 2025 AND uploaded to www.youtube.com/theicannetwork
I CAN School students can make a group video which will be played at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Thursday 9 October 2025 AND uploaded to www.youtube.com/theicannetwork
Students can apply to be on one of the Panel discussions which will take place in-person at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Thursday 9th October 2025

***NOTE: If doing a group presentation, all group members need to fill out a consent form***

2. What have you got out of the I CAN program?

Important Info :

This form must be completed by the parent or guardian of all presenters under 18.
In order to be part of a presentation, Presenters need to submit this form before their presentation can be confirmed in the I CAN Expo 2025 schedule.
Presenters will still need a Trybooking ticket to the Expo and will still need to accept our Multimedia and ICT Agreements here.
All video presentations will be available to view via the I CAN Network YouTube: www.youtube.com/theicannetwork.

2025 Multimedia Consent Terms and Conditions

As part of the I CAN program we may take photographs or videos, or collect written comments or audio, of activities in which your young person is involved. The photos, videos, written comments and audio may be used to promote the I CAN Network in our publications, leaflets, as well as our website, blog and social media and for our inaugural I CAN Network program celebration (I CAN Expo 2025, 9 October 2025) which takes place at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (Melbourne), 1 Convention Centre Pl, South Wharf VIC 3006.

Consent will be deemed indefinite until revoked. Under I CAN Network Ltd’s Privacy Policy, I can opt out of my/ my child’s preferred name, video image/ recording, written comments and audio being used for I CAN Network’s social media/ marketing and I CAN Expo 2025, at any time, by emailing the Privacy Officer at privacy@icannetwork.com.au.

Photographs and media are classified as personal information under the Information Privacy Act 2009. I CAN Network Ltd respects your privacy and therefore requests your permission to photograph and/ or video your child, or collect their written comments or audio. The image(s), recordings and written comments will remain the property of I CAN Network Ltd. It will be assumed that your consent is given for an indefinite period of time or until you withdraw your authorisation.

It should be understood that material published on the Web (inclusive of social media including YouTube) will be accessible to people worldwide and that the information can be copied and used by any Web user. I CAN Network Ltd has no control over the subsequent use and disclosure of information on its website once that information is published.

I understand that I will not receive any remuneration for my contributions to I CAN Network's marketing or the I CAN Expo 2025.

As the parent/guardian of the Presenter, I have read and understood the Multimedia Consent Agreement and agree to its terms and conditions.
